Tone group 10 Dialogue
— What’s happened to Jack?
— It’s always the same. He’s hardly ever on time.
— I’m afraid he’s failed his exam.
— I’m not at all surprised. He did absolutely no work for it.
— That’s the second time he’s failed.
— Poor old Jack. He’ll never make it.
— Is that Jack?
— Yes, that’s the fellow.
— It seems to me it’s not Jack! You’ve taken him for somebody else!
— What’s the time? I don’t want to keep waiting any more!
— I suppose it’s about twelve.
— Oh, but he’s taking his exam at half past twelve, he phoned me in the morning.
— But why didn’t you tell me? I could have come later!
— So sorry!
